John Deere Driverless Tractor for Efficient Logistics
Industrial

John Deere is using the EZTow autonomous tow tractor, manufactured by TractEasy, to enhance its supply chain operations. After a successful initial testing phase, the EZTow tractor has been integrated into John Deere’s supplier base.

Autonomous efficiency in an industrial setting

During the proof of concept conducted last year, the EZTow tractor demonstrated its capabilities by transporting combine harvester cabs from staging areas to the assembly line at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, Illinois. The tractor efficiently navigated exterior routes, handling mixed traffic and winter conditions using a range of sensors and cameras with real-time processing.

The Leading Autonomous Tow Tractor for Global Industrial and Logistic Operations

The EZTow tow tractor, capable of towing up to 20 tons (44,000 lbs) autonomously, utilizes advanced sensors and cameras for real-time navigation in complex outdoor environments. It is the most-deployed autonomous tow tractor worldwide, operational since 2018 in Europe, Asia, and North America. The EZTow is used extensively in automotive manufacturing plants, logistics centers, and major airports for baggage handling and cargo operations.
